GETTING TO KNOW BOGOTÁ

“Join us for an unforgettable journey through Bogotá’s rich history and vibrant culture. From the colonial beauty of La Candelaria to the prestigious neighborhoods of Teusaquillo and Usaquén, this tour will immerse you in the stories and sights that have shaped Colombia’s capital. Experience the charm of Bogotá’s architectural gems, explore its bustling financial center, and end your adventure with a taste of Colombia’s famous coffee.

Our first stop on the city tour takes us to the administrative and historical center of the city, where we will visit the Plaza de Bolívar, the Casa de Nariño, the Palace of Justice, the Primada Cathedral, and the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá. We will also take a short walk through the colonial charm of La Candelaria, known for its beautiful architecture. Then, we will continue to the Teusaquillo neighborhood, famous for its 1940s architecture, which was once home to old Bogotá society.

Next, we head to the financial district, passing by the Santa María Bullring, the La Merced neighborhood, and the National Park. Here, we will take some time to appreciate its lush gardens, winding paths, and the beautiful vegetation that surrounds us.

Our trip then takes us to one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in the city, followed by a visit to Usaquén, an ancient Muisca settlement. Usaquén, meaning “Land of the Sun” in the Muisca language, was once home to Princess Zipa and later became the site of famous colonial haciendas.

After enjoying a traditional lunch, there is no better way to continue than by savoring a cup of Colombian coffee while learning about the fascinating process behind each cup. We will immerse ourselves in the world of coffee, experiencing its magic firsthand. Finally, we will take a short stroll through the old and charming town of Usaquén, and conclude our tour with a delicious regional snack.
